Instrument loan scheme

At Strings Incognito we're passionate about the difference music can make to people's lives. Among our players we have people who have taken up instruments as adults, as well as people who have returned to music after a long break - and they all tell us how happy they are to be playing.

We also know that not everyone is lucky enough to be able to afford an instrument. For this reason we've set up our instrument loan scheme, to help people to be able to come along and join us who might not otherwise get the chance. It's a key part of our aim to make music accessible to everyone - which includes players as well as audiences. 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We own several instruments, beginner standard and beyond, which are available to help players to get back into string playing. If you borrow one of our instruments, we'll lend it to you free of charge - you just need to pay the insurance. All we'll ask is that you take good care of it and come along to our rehearsals. The initial loan is for a year - long enough for you to get re-started and make sure you're enjoying playing!

CURRENT INSTRUMENTS

We currently have the following instruments available for loan:

• A good quality viola (complete with case, bow, etc)
• A beginner violin (with case, bow etc) - this will be ready for loan in winter 2018
